Different departments in healthcare organizations, such as the ICU and the perioperative departments, need specialized nurses, who are not enough. One strategy to deal with the nursing shortage in the various departments is nursing education and training. Training nurses who have not specialized in areas such as perioperative can help cover the shortages in the areas. Policies on nursing education and nursing, such as training all nurses in certain skills, can also help in addressing the challenges.
