Hand hygiene should also be promoted as an essential factor in preventing the spread of hospital-acquired infections. Medical facility hygiene should also be improved. Medical facilities should take the lead in flattening the curve and preventing COVID-19 from spreading further. They should follow expert advice to help limit the spread.

Clinical and Healthcare Delivery Systems

In addition, I evaluated the healthcare facility’s healthcare delivery and clinical systems. The course allowed me to assess healthcare delivery and clinical systems about my capstone project topic (healthcare-acquired infection). I discovered how to create an evidence-based practice change proposal. I reviewed various change sample change proposals. I discovered how they are organized. A proposal is the beginning of a change in healthcare. The change proposal should be well-grafted to persuade investors and management. It should address a specific issue that the organization is experiencing. The proposed change should also be dynamic and specific to a healthcare facility’s situation. In this course, I hope to learn more about this topic.

During this course, I learned about ethical considerations for healthcare staff and other stakeholders in healthcare. Throughout the course, I learned that leaders are essential in promoting adherence to ethical standards in delivering care services. A healthcare facility’s code of conduct governs behavior. Leaders must strictly enforce these codes of conduct. Regular training is also essential in promoting ethical standards in a hospital.

I learned about culturally sensitive care during the course. The treatment and care of patients in a medical facility should consider their culture. Cultural diversity should be considered when providing care services. I created a change proposal that took culturally sensitive care factors into account. During this research, I discovered that sensing technology is the most effective. In a medical facility, sensing technology has been shown to increase hand hygiene compliance rates. It boosts compliance by more than 66%. People are more likely to use this technology than other methods of improving hand hygiene.

This week, I did some research on healthcare policy. There are various healthcare policies. I reviewed the policies in place for healthcare-acquired infections. I discovered that several policies exist to ensure that healthcare institutions actively address hospital infections. Healthcare disparities are a common issue confronting the US healthcare system. Everyone does not have equal access to healthcare. Many low-income earners’ facilities in the United States are in disrepair. Because of the quality of services available to these groups of people in society, a lower-class citizen is more likely to contract hospital-acquired infections in a medical facility than an upper-class citizen. The course allowed me to evaluate the issue of health disparities in my capstone project.
