Population and Sampling Distributions

Population and Sampling Distributions

Three Key Questions I Will Ask and Answer When Reading the Research Study and Why These Questions Are Important

What Are the Independent and Independent Variables?

An independent variable is what the researcher is trying to manipulate, and it directly affects the dependent variable. The dependent variable is under investigation and is affected by the independent variable. The independent variable is the Health Seeking behavior, while the dependent variable is the medical students’ health. Asking this question is essential because these variables guide a researcher to undertake this study with maximum curiosity. These variables are also important because they determine the causes and effects of research.

What Is the Population of Interest in the Study?

A population is a group of people or objects with shared characteristics that the researcher is interested in. The population of Interest is Medical students. Knowing the population is essential since the study sample results can help generalize observations and conclusions about the population of interest.

What Sampling Method Was Used?

Sampling involves selecting the subset of individuals within the population of interest to determine the characteristics of the population of interest. The sampling method used was survey sampling. It is essential to know the sampling method since it determines the cost, time spent, the accuracy of the data collected, and suitability to the study. Sampling helps in drawing inferences about the population of interest.
