A case involving the determination of the mental status of an individual involved in a case was one of the ways I got to interact professionally and collaborate with other professionals. The medical team had been instructed to investigate the possibility of the patient being charged with manslaughter and, as a result, being sentenced for the crime that he had committed. The man was involved in a fight in which he was injured but killed someone. Medical psychologists, surgeons, nurses, and pharmacists were among the professionals involved in this case. In addition, forensic practitioners were involved in the case. The approach was multiagency, as the patient’s condition was carefully analysed before the final report could be given.

Interprofessional collaboration increased system efficiency and ensured the quality of the outcome in the environment. However, I believe that proper communication should have been used to develop a workable system. Proper communication would have improved hospital operations. Interprofessional collaboration in the process would have ensured that communication was established between professionals and that appropriate decisions were made. In this case, interprofessional collaboration would have been improved by mapping all of the changes that have occurred during the collaboration process (Reeves et al., 2017). It would have also included all of the teams. It should have been used as an important part of the healthcare operations rather than as a member of the project’s team.

Interprofessional collaboration occurs when two or more health workers from different professional backgrounds work together to improve healthcare quality. The primary goal of interprofessional collaboration is to reduce medical errors associated with nursing operations as well as financial errors. Proper financial management strategies include business and business intelligence partnerships, proper benchmarking, proper talent management, and the outsourcing process, which are critical and crucial in proper health organisations. Creating an interruptive human resource and financial management strategy is critical to ensuring that the health organisation realises its full potential. It functions by assisting in the utilisation process and ensuring that the system is operational.


Achieving proper healthcare quality is a factor of interdisciplinary collaboration. The team works by ensuring the health workforce’s ethics and values throughout the process. The procedure is also important in promoting proper communication between patients, nurses, and other professionals. It aids in the development of long-term relationships and proper relationships in health programmes. Interprofessional collaboration is also a machine that works by assessing safe healthcare. Assigning roles and connecting with different teams also help by ensuring a professional understanding of the team’s roles and functions. The process also works by ensuring a proper and consistent link between quality care and the process.

There are numerous professions in healthcare, including pharmacy, nursing, clinicians, and surgeons, among others (Driessen & Scheele, 2016). The majority of cases that arise necessitate a multiagency approach in order to provide solutions. To understand and diagnose cases ranging from accidents to various lifestyle diseases, an interprofessional approach is required (Driessen & Scheele, 2016). As a result, the approach is a critical business approach that allows healthcare to provide the best solutions to various cases in the end. As a result, various cases of health and medical errors are best handled with appropriate interprofessional care.

According to contingency management theory, no single management theory is important for any organisation. To achieve the best alternatives, health organisations must be approached from the perspectives of various professionals. The main components of the contingency management theory are the existing leadership styles in the organisation, the size of the health organisation, and the technology used. Change theory is also important in contingency management because it assists organisations in implementing strategic leadership styles. Strategic and team leadership is essential in the health organisation for the organisation to achieve its main goals.

To summarise, health organisations require interdisciplinary collaboration to achieve their primary goal of health work. The quality of care is improved by ensuring proper communication and the process’s integrity. Health organisations and settings are always made up of various professionals who deal with various issues, such as drugs and the need for surgeries. In other words, it simplifies complex health issues (Schwartz & Conklin, 2015). Health organisations must also encourage professional collaboration. The benefits of interprofessional collaboration are realised because they ensure that processes are followed and that integrity is maintained.
